Metagenomic analysis of Gandhak-ki-Baoli for assessing microbial diversity

A metagenomic approach was applied to investigate microbial diversity in Gandhak-ki-baoli, an ancient step-well located in Delhi, India and known to be rich is sulfur. The waters of this step-well are known to cure skin illnesses. The project involves understanding and linking the microbial (cultivable/uncultivable) richness of this water body to its curative properties.
