The Toxics Release Inventory (TRI) is a database maintained by the United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) that tracks the management of toxic chemicals by industrial facilities. This database collects and publishes data on annually reported chemical releases, waste management and pollution prevention activities from industrial and federal facilities. The EPA provides this data via a variety of online tools, and adds contextual information to improve the comprehensibility of the dataset.
