Gene database of Pseudomonas syringae pv. DC3000
收藏资源简介:
Pseudomonas syringae pv. DC3000 is a Gram-negative, rod-shaped plant pathogen. Able to infect a variety of plant species, the bacterium uses its Type III secretion system to inject effector proteins into plant cells; thereby, resulting in pathogenesis. Given its importance to studying plant-microbe interactions, P. syringae pv. DC3000 (NCBI Reference Sequence: NC_004578.1) has attracted much research attention, especially in areas seeking to understand plant pathogenesis mechanisms, as well as methods for controlling P. syringae pv. DC3000 infections. Using an in-house MATLAB algorithm, the annotated genome sequence of P. syringae pv. DC3000 was parsed and help create a gene database comprising gene names, gene functions and gene sequence. The database should find use in the phylogenetic analysis of genes important to P. syringae plant pathogenesis as well as studies aiming to understand how gene knockouts help ameliorate or activate plant pathogenesis by this important plant pathogen.
