Proportion of fish stocks within biologically sustainable levels (2018 publication)

This dataset contains information on the ‘Status of Australian Fish Stocks’:\r\n-\t406 stock status assessments were undertaken across the 120 species/species complexes. \r\n-\tStocks comprised biological; jurisdictional and management unit with assessments undertaken at the biological stock level, wherever possible.\r\n-\t324 stock status classifications could be assigned. The remaining stocks were classified as 54 undefined and 28 negligible stocks.\r\n-\tOf the 324 stock status classifications that could be assigned: 254 stocks were assessed as being sustainable; 29 stocks depleted; 23 stocks depleting; 18 stocks recovering.
