The time-dependent antimicrobial ability of pristine TiO2 (20 mg/mL) and TiO2/DHQ (1–20 mg/mL) against E. coli under visible-light excitation (457 nm); control: experiments without photocatalyst. Kubelka–Munk transformations of DRS data for the pristine TiO2 (Aeroxide® P25) powder and TiO2-based ICT complex with DHQ. Additionally, images of TiO2 and TiO2/DHQ, as well as the spectral profile of the emitted light used in antimicrobial tests, are included.
