From 2018 and onward, forest bird surveys done by OFBAR were standardized into point counts. Point count surveys involve visiting locations evenly spread across a site and noting down every bird seen and heard in a 10-minute period. Due to the sensitive nature of private property, observation locations were blurred. The unrestricted datasets are available by request from NatureCounts, Birds Canada’s interactive data portal, at https://naturecounts.ca/nc/default/nc_about.jsp
