Ash riser and the rise of LA Dubstep

Dubstep is an electronic music dance genre born right in the heart of South London in the early 2000s. The scene crossed over to America and was embraced by producers and party goers throughout Los Angeles and a culture that ended up bigger and louder than its British predecessor emerged. This is the story of Ash Riser, one musician who has become a part of the bass loving scene in the city and like many others, is trying to find a happy medium that straddles the success that comes with being mainstream and staying true to the underground roots of dubstep.
