16S Sequences of tilapia (Oreochromis niloticus) gut samples

In this study, we investigated the impact of Recycled Plant Components (RPC) on the gut microbiome composition of tilapia (Oreochromis niloticus). By incorporating RPC into the diet of tilapia and conducting controlled feeding trials, we aimed to analyze how this dietary intervention affects microbial diversity, structure, and potential functional pathways within the gut. Microbiome analysis was conducted using high-throughput sequencing techniques, such as 16S rRNA gene sequencing, to characterize the microbial communities and assess shifts in abundance and composition. The results of this study provide insights into the relationship between alternative feed ingredients and fish gut health, contributing to sustainable aquaculture practices.
