Streptococcus dysgalactiae subsp. equisimilis (SDSE) is beta-hemolytic streptococci and pathogenic bacteria that causes severe invasive infections. SDSE mainly possesses Lancefield group G or C antigens, rarely group A. In 2014 and 2017, we collected group A SDSE strains at a hospital in Japan. In order to analyze genomic characteristics of group A SDSE, we sequenced three strains by MinION technology.
