Anonymized Excerpts for Manuscript entitled "Beyond Guidelines: Stakeholders' experiences and implementation of a new model for antenatal care in Kavre district, Nepal"

This Figshare repository contains anonymized qualitative data supporting the findings of the study “Beyond Guidelines: Stakeholders' experiences and implementation of a new model for antenatal care in Kavre district, Nepal". This is an exploratory qualitative study involving interviews with pregnant women, ANC providers and local policymakers along with semi-structured facility observations. This study explored the perspectives of pregnant women, ANC providers and local policymakers on the rollout of the 8+ ANC model.
This exploratory qualitative study was conducted as a sub study of a mixed-method research project examining hygiene preparedness and urine testing practices in pregnancy in health facilities offering ANC services. Written informed consent was taken before the interviews from each participant, and written informed consent with facility in charge was taken prior to the facility observations. Ethical approval for the study was obtained from the Nepal Health Research Council (Reg No: 635/2023), Kathmandu University Institutional Review Committee (Approval No: 85/24) and London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine (Ethics Ref: 29823).
