Transcriptional analysis of human retinal organoids derived retinal progenitor cells and human fetal retinal progenitor cells

Human primary retinal progenitor cells from aborted fetus are previously reported to apply in patients who suffered retinal degenerative diseases. However, the limited source of human primary retinal progenitor cells intensifies the resistance of research and clinical application. Retinal progenitor cells from hESCs derived retinal organoids are a new promising cell source for stem cell therapy. Here, we aim to find out the transcriptional similarity and difference between human primary retinal progenitor cells and retinal progenitor cells from hESCs derived retinal organoids at varied induced time. This study could provide a better understanding of retinal progenitor cells from hESCs derived retinal organoids.
