The co-expression of lncRNA and mRNA in the cumulus-oocyte complex of rabbits exposed to ammonia

We used a combination of RNA deep sequencing, qRT-PCR, and bioinformatic analysis to explore regulatory mechanism of lncRNA and mRNA in COCs. The results from GO items showed that female meiosis sister chromatid cohesion and regulation of follicle-stimulating hormone secretion were involved in the mechanism of rabbis exposed to NH3. Co-expression analysis found that lncRNA-mRNA network was correlated with cumulus cell and oocyte function. NH3 exposure decreased mRNA expression of reproductive function-related genes (Cyp11a, Cyp19a, LHR and Kitlg) and increased the mRNA expression of genotoxicity-related genes (Sirt1) in rabbit COCs.
