Thrips are a widely distributed insect group with diverse feeding habits. In this study, Odontothrips phaseoli, belonging to the Thripidae family, was identified and its complete mitochondrial genome was determined, with a total length of 15,440 bp and an overall AT content of 78.8%. It contains 22 tRNA genes, 13 protein-coding genes (PCGs), and 2 rRNA genes. All PCGs have ATN as the start codon, with most of them having TAA as the stop codon.
