Charades is a dataset composed of 9,848 daily indoor activity videos collected via Amazon Mechanical Turk, Amazon's crowdsourcing platform. 267 distinct users were each provided with a sentence containing objects and actions from a fixed vocabulary, and they recorded videos to enact the scenarios described by the sentences, just as in the Charades game. This dataset contains 66,500 temporal annotations across 157 action classes, 41,104 labels for 46 object classes, and 27,847 textual descriptions of the videos. This work was presented at ECCV 2016.
