Proto-Trans-Mississippian Database: Dataset A

This is a comparative dataset of contemporary Iroquoian and Caddoan languages which is meant to be used for reconstruction of both families and their subsequent reconstruction as a single family; Trans-Mississippian. The dataset is organised along CLDF standards and has been validated with Lexedata. The concept set is a slightly altered version of the Kaufman (1973) set on Concepticon with 1006 concepts. There are over 15000 entries and all lects cover at least 50% of the concept set. All forms are included in IPA for use in comparative and computational work. A reconstructed dataset will be published under the title "Proto-Trans-Mississippian Database: Dataset R."
