[Article dataset] Just hitching a ride: stable isotopes reveal non-feeding behaviour of Anisakis simplex within its host fish

This is the matching dataset of the submitted paper titled "Just hitching a ride: stable isotopes reveal non-feeding behaviour of Anisakis simplex within its host fish." The dataset represents the complete stable isotope and elemental composition, including carbon and nitrogen stable isotopes and elemental contents from hake and associated Anisakis parasites. Three hake tissues - muscle, stomach, and liver - along with Anisakis from the body cavity were sampled. Each specimen was given a "host-parasite system number" to identify each group.For detailed information on the methods used in sampling and analysis, please refer to the Methods section of the paper itself.
