Transcriptome study of Thitarodes pui larvae. Thitarodes pui

Thitarodes pui, one of the host species of entomopathogenic fungus Ophiocordyceps sinensis, has great economic importance in the Tibetan Plateau. The larvae adapt well to the extreme climates in high-altitude and serve as a good model for cold and hypoxic stress. Yet little is known about its molecular mechanism and development. In order to understand physiological and biochemical functions of Thitarodes pui comprehensively, we performed de novo transcriptome assembly using short-read sequencing technology (Illumina).
