Data for: Hydrated, outer-sphere Ca2+ ions decrease adhesion between two (104) calcite surfaces as probed by Atomic Force Microscopy

The data include Atomic Force Microscopy (AFM) measurements of forces acting between two cleaved (104) calcite surfaces collected using a JPK NanoWizard® AFM equipped with an Olympus IX71 optical microscope in solutions containing a low or high concentration of dissolved Ca2+.
