The Schools of the Future program was central to the Governments plan for improving opportunities for students. The key principle of the program was the location of responsibility, authority and accountability at the school level.As part of the Schools of the Future program schools were to develop a school charter; a key planning document that set out the goals and priorities of the school.The subject matters contained within the records include Implementation Committee minutes and correspondence, policy documentation, progress reports and works and services concerning school re-organisation.
