Paracoccus aminovorans HPD-2, which was isolated from the polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbon polluted soil in Wuxi, Jiangsu, China, can efficiently degrade high molecular weight polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs). Here, we present a 4.6-Mb draft genome sequence of this train, which provided an invaluable genetic background for further investigation of PAHs degradation mechanisms.
