Paraburkholderia fungorum Genome sequencing. Paraburkholderia fungorum

The strain was identified as Paraburkholderia fungorum and named JT-M8. It was isolated from a compound industrial park area located in Jiatun, Xinxiang, China, for degrading the polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons and mineralizing the heavy metal Cd. Moreover, this strain is able to fix nitrogen, dissolve phosphorus and fix carbon dioxide. It is a plant probiotic, and could be used for environmental remediation and in agricultural soil. Therefore, we conducted whole-genome sequencing and analysis of this strain to better understand and explore the genetic information of this strain.
