资源简介:
IGNITE is an NIH-funded network dedicated to supporting the implementation of genomics in healthcare. IGNITE was created to enhance the use of genomic medicine by supporting the development of methods for incorporating genomic information into clinical care and exploration of the methods for effective implementation, diffusion and sustainability in diverse clinical settings. As part of the IGNITE network, the University of Florida Health Personalized Medicine Program partners with health professionals and patients at UF Health and across the state to develop, implement, study and refine methods that allow genetic information to be used as a routine part of patient care. The program's initial focus is on pharmacogenetics. We also aimed to develop and implement innovative genomic medicine educational programs for health-care providers, health professions students, patients.]]>
Genomic Medicine Implementation: The Personalized Medicine Program: Genotyping in Family Medicine Clinics - Inclusion criteria are age ≥18 years and current or planned treatment with an opioid or other narcotic pain medication. Any patient with a participating physician that is being treated for pain management is eligible for the study. Implementation of CYP2C19 Genotyping to Guide Antiplatelet Therapy for Patients Undergoing Cardiac Catheterization at UF Health Jacksonville - Inclusion criteria are age ≥18 years and undergoing left heart catheterization for signs and symptoms suggestive for CAD as per standard of care. Since the objective of this study is to apply genetic testing as a routine standard of care clinical test, the only exclusion criteria is the inability to provide written informed consent. Genomic Medicine Implementation: The Personalized Medicine Program: Education Protocol - Students ≥18 years of age enrolled in PHA 5933 (Clinical Applications of Personalized Medicine) are eligible. UF and Shands Personalized Medicine Program - Patients, ≥18 years of age, of UF Health that present in a clinic with a condition that requires clinical genotyping. Genomic Medicine Implementation: The Personalized Medicine Program: Education Protocol for Healthcare Professionals - Eligibility requirements are described below: Participate in CE Program: Physicians, nurses, pharmacists, and physician assistants, or other clinicians or faculty within and outside of UF, UF Health, or OneFlorida sites can participate in CE program. Complete survey: All individuals participating in the educational program can complete surveys. Participate in personal genotyping: Individuals who participate in the educational program, complete the survey, and provide written informed consent for genotyping are eligible for personal genotyping. Note: Any participant may decline to participate in the personal genotype evaluation and still complete the educational program; participants will be provided with a de-identified genotype data set to be used in completing educational program cases. Implementing Genomics in Practice (IGNITE) Proof of Concept Study: CYP2C19 genotype-supported treatment of GERD and dyspepsia versus conventional treatment - Inclusion criteria are age ≥17 years presenting to the UF Health GI clinic with GERD or related symptoms and is either being initiated on PPI therapy or continues to have symptoms despite PPI therapywill be considered eligible for the study. This study will exclude patients who have had extensive esophageal or gastric surgery or any major chronic illness or condition that in the opinion of the gastroenterologist that would interfere with participation in the study. ]]>
