Genetics of pea aphid wing plasticity variation

This project examines the genetic basis of the pea aphid (Acyrthosiphon pisum) wing plasticity variation. Two lines with diverging plasticity strength (one with a strong plastic response, the other with no response to changing environments) were contrasted in their gene expression and were used as parents in an experimental cross.
