In Brazil, the primary databases concerning healthcare encounters are the SIA database, focusing on outpatient contexts, and the SIH database, pertaining to hospital contexts. However, these databases remain disconnected, hindering comprehensive patient journey analysis when assessing treatments administered in outpatient settings and subsequent outcomes in hospital contexts.

Addressing this challenge head-on, Precision Data has pioneered a proprietary methodology known as the Nexus Base Methodology. Through a meticulous process of data cleansing, structuring, and enrichment, we have devised a deterministic linkage approach that ensures high consistency and quality throughout.

As a result, we have curated a series of Nexus Cohorts, delineated by two key input parameters: the starting year for data inclusion and an alpha parameter refining ZIPCODE exclusions to optimize linkage quality. Notably, the Nexus 2012a40 Cohort boasts over 8 million unique patients, encompassing outpatient production data from January 2012 to December 2023.

In this trial, participants gain access to data from 2018 to 2023 within this cohort, enabling analyses of patient journeys across a myriad of clinical contexts. This serves as the ideal foundation for generating high-quality Real-World Evidence (RWE) studies, unlocking invaluable insights into healthcare practices and patient outcomes.
