The main objective of the census is to collect following information - Information about the schools - Students - Teachers - Non-academic staff - Physical facilities Geographic coverage --------------------------- National Coverage - Government Schools Analysis unit --------------------------- School Student Teacher Universe --------------------------- All Government Schools Kind of data --------------------------- Census/enumeration data [cen] Mode of data collection --------------------------- Mail Questionnaire [mail] Research instrument --------------------------- Used the same questionnaire used in 2007 Census. The schedule of the School Census - 2008 includes following parts: Part 1 : Identification Information Part 2 : Students by medium Part 3 : Students by birth year Part 4 : Students who failed in the year 2007 Part 5 : Students in grade 1 Part 6 : A/L Science Students Part 7 : Students by grade bysubjects studied ( Religion, Technical subjects and Easthetic ) Part 8A : Disabled students Part 8B : Disabled students by birth year Part 9 : Student by race and religion Part 10A : Students who obtained grade 5 scholarship grants Part 10B : Students in grade 6 Part 11 : Examination Reults ( Year 2007 ) - Grade 5 - G. C. E. (O/L) - G. C. E.
