The drug affinity of young people in the Federal Republic of Germany. Topics: leisure activities: personal life satisfaction; spending leisure time at home or outside the home; type and frequency of leisure activities exercised; frequency of attendance of Techno events and average length of stay in Techno clubs; size of social network; health-conscious conduct; models in media and peer groups; person to confide in and conversation partner for important matters; judgement on personal condition of health; self-assessment of extent to which informed about harmful effects of alcohol, tobacco and drug use; self-classification as youth or grown-up; self-confidence, satisfaction with self and attitude to family, supervisors and school (scale). Alcohol use: average daily drinking habits regarding alkohol-free and alcoholic beverages; information on alcohol use the day before, last Thursday as wellas last weekend; nformation on respective partners in consumption and place of alcohol use; alcohol use due to particular reason; judgement of various effects of alcohol use (scale); assessment of the health risk from consumption of 1 liter of beer, 1/2 Liter of wine as well as 5-6 schnapps per day; frequency of alcohol excesses; age at first occasion for alcohol intoxication; time of last alcohol intoxication; conversation partner when talking about harm to health that can come about from alcohol use and time since last last conversation on this topic. Interviewer rating: presence of other persons during the interview; intervention of persons present in the interview; willingness of respondent to cooperate; assessment of reliability of survey sperson. Also encoded was: date of interview; interview length; number of interview on the sample point; number of contact attempts; interviewer sex; interviewer age; interviewer education; identification of interviewer.
