资源简介:
Zooplankton, benthic invertebrates and sculpin collected from Isfjorden, Svalbard in 2018 were analyzed for concentrations of persistent organic pollutants (POPS), including hexachlorobenzene (HCB), Polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs), Dichlorodiphenyltrichloroethane (DDTs), hexachlorocyclohexane (HCHs) and chlordane pesticides. In addition, zooplankton were analyzed for chiral enantiomeric fractions. The aim of the study was to investigate the role of glacial meltwater as a secondary source of legacy POPs to Arctic coastal food-webs. Thus, zooplankton were collected seasonally from May (before the melt season) to June (spring freshet) and August (glacial melt) and benthos and sculpin were sampled spatially along the freshwater to marine gradient. Results are presented and discussed in the ES&T article titled \"Is glacial meltwater a secondary source of legacy contaminants to Arctic coastal food-webs?\"
