The total mycobiome analysis of maize grains and maize rhizosphere samples from Agro-Ecological Zone IV of Cameroon were chosen for the metabarcoding through Next Generation Sequencing. The most represented maize variety from Cameroon CMS 8704 was collected in IRAD seed stores, along with Soil samples from maize farms. The full metagenome analysis will help to cross-compare the metagenomes of grains and soil samples of the same AEZ and reveal the proportion of Aspergillus flavus strains in each source.
