资源简介:
Stroke is a leading cause of disability worldwide, with approximately 75% of survivors suffering from long-term neurological dysfunction that severely impacts their quality of life. Studies have found that vagus nerve stimulation(VNS), delivered through either implantation or transcutaneous methods, can improve neurological impairment after a stroke. However, there is currently no systematic review summarizing the research findings in this field. Therefore, this paper reviews the research progress on neurological function recovery in clinical and animal models of ischemic stroke following VNS. It focuses on discussing the therapeutic parameters and potential underlying mechanisms. The aim is to comprehensively elucidate the effects of VNS on post-stroke neurological recovery, provide a reference for future research, and promote the clinical application of VNS in the rehabilitation of stroke patients.
