We have found that loss of SMNDC1 (Survival Motor Neuron Domain Containing 1), a component of the spliceosome complex, in both murine alpha cells and human islets is capable of inducing an overall increase in beta cell markers and activating insulin transcription. Overall design: Paired-end RNAseq results of bulk pancreatic human islets 5 days after transduction with two SMNDC1 shRNAs.
