In this study, RNA-Seq technology was adopted to investigate the differences in expression profiles of the hepatic lipid metabolism-related genes and the associated pathways between juvenile (20 week) and laying hens (30 week). The study aims to broaden our understanding of the liver lipid metabolism in chicken and accordingly help improve the laying performance in poultry industry.
