Functional traits of the ichthyofauna from Terminos Lagoon, Campeche, Mexico

The dataset provides access to an Excel file (.xlsx) with a list of 128 fish species (rows), and a list of 23 bio-ecological traits grouped into 5 categories (columns). The characterization of the bio-ecological traits by species was done with information from primary literature, free access internet data repositories, and databases of previous institutional projects. In this way, a matrix of bio-ecological attributes of the fish community was assembled. Aspects related with the study area, the sampling design, the collection methodology, the species inventory, and the taxonomic composition of the ichthyofauna are described in Paz-Ríos et al. (2021).
