The study attempts to dissect the transcriptional regulatory pathways controlling seed size/weight in B. juncea lines EH-2 and PJ by a comparative analysis of seed transcriptome. The inference of coexpression networks identified coregulated gene sets and hub genes associated with an increase in seed size which could help infer the gene regulatory networks underlying the regulation of seed size. The integration of our transcriptome dataset with known genomic regions associated with thousand seed weight (Tsw ) in EPJ DH population identified the putative transcriptional regulators of seed size in B. juncea.
