We established the relationship between the gut microbial community with behavioral phenotypes as well as inflammatory markers by Mantel's test, which revealed a significant positive correlation between the LPS group and the amount of sugar water preference, thus reinforcing the SPT as a robust metric in the LPS model and the prevention of LPS-induced neuroinflammation by MITC-1. Collectively, these findings demonstrated that MITC-1 effectively restored gut dysbiosis, either through the reduction of gut inflammation or by remodeling the gut microbiota.
