This dataset was collected as part of a study on the Effect of Human Resource Planning Process on Organizational Performance in Local Government Institutions in Rwanda, a case study of Kicukiro District. The study was conducted having a sampled of 78 employees of Kicukiro District. Universal sampling technique was used. 5-points Likert Scale questionnaire and documentation methods were used to collect data relating to the topic. After analysis, the findings were presented according to the specific objectives. Basing on findings of the study, 83.3 % of respondents strongly agreed and 16.7% agreed that Human Resources Planning is given enough priority in Kicukiro district and the performance of Kicukiro district was highly appreciated, 70.5% of respondents strongly disagreed and 29.5% disagreed that HRP has not affected performance of Kicukiro district. Human Resources Planning process has a high positive correlation to the performance which is equal to .803*and the sig. is .000 which is less than 0.01. The main conclusion was made that there is significant relationship between Human Resources Planning and performance of Kicukiro district.
