Microbiome of Angelica sinensis: 16S and ITS Profiling of Root Endophytes and Rhizosphere Communities

This project investigates the microbial communities associated with the medicinal plant Angelica sinensis (Danggui). We present 16S rRNA gene amplicon data to characterize the bacterial communities and Internal Transcribed Spacer (ITS) data to characterize the fungal communities. The study focuses on comparing the microbiome structures between the root endosphere (internal tissues) and the rhizosphere (surrounding soil). The objective is to provide insights into the composition and potential functions of these root-associated microbes, which may contribute to the plant's growth and medicinal compound accumulation.
