Comparative transcriptional signatures provide uncovering major molecular processes in early and mature somatic cyst cells of Drosophila testes

Here we employed a FACS-based approach for isolation of early and mature somatic cyst cells from whole testes of adult Drosophila males. We prepared and analyzed RNA-seq libraries to reveal differences in transcriptional patterns of these cells and to uncover protein complexes functioning in cyst cells at different stages of spermatogenesis.
