Field training with plants at York University

In this lab experiment, the data was collected on Friday September 26, 2014 on Keele campus of York University between 2:30 pm to 5:30 pm. The temperature was about 20ᵒC and it was sunny. 10 randomly selected adult trees of the same species were selected in the woodlot to gather data. The diameter at the breast height was measured in cm for both the adult trees and their nearest saplings using transect measuring tape. In addition , the distance between the adult trees and the sapling trees was also measured in cm . The canopy coverage of the adult trees was estimated by making a square through fingers and pointing it towards the branches.
