aRatio of the nonsynonymous to the synonomous mutation rate (dN/dS) measures the strength of selection, where values >1 indicate positive selection, and larger values indicate stronger selection.bIn the common ancestor lineage: a single gene of M. hyorhinis HUB-1 was used to represent each ortholog group (Table S1). Genes of M. conjunctivae HRC and three M. hyopneumoniae strains in the same ortholog group are also under positive selection.
