An fNIRS dataset for driving risk cognition of passengers in highly automated driving scenarios

A total of 20 participants completed this driving simulator experiment. This study complied with the Declaration of Helsinki and was approved by the Institutional Review Board of Tsinghua University, China(Approval number: 20210102). Participants were voluntary after the task and informed consent had been explained, they also were informed that they may terminate this experiment at any time without any type of penalty, and the informed consent includes the notice that the results associated with this work might be published in academic journals or books.This dataset containsthe raw data of ΔHbOand ΔHbR, the preprocessing data of ΔHbOand ΔHbRby Homer3 and driving scenario data, and the driving scenario data is compose of the position, velocity and acceleration of ego vehicle and target vehicle (or pedestrian).They were stored in the folders of "RawfNIRSDataset", "PreprocessingfNIRSDataset", and "VehicleStatusDataset" respectively in Figshare. The data of twenty participants in same highly automated driving scenario was stored in a same folder, and the shorthand of scenario name is named as the folder name. Besides, The codes of preprocessing functions and procedures of validation mentioned in the technical validation section and a brief description(readme.docx) have been uploaded in the folder “code”in Figshare.
