Cyanogenesis in forage sorghum is a major concern Australia as the cultivated sorghum leaves are more cyanogenic than the wild species. Also, drought is a key factor which increases the production of cyanogenic glucosides in sorghum. However, the gene regulatory mechanisms of cyanogenesis have not yet been fully studied in wild sorghum. Therefore, this study aims to study the differential gene expression of cyanogenesis related genes of two wild and cultivated sorghum species in response to drought.
