The water temperature and depth data were collected as part of Tropical Ocean Global Atmosphere (TOGA) project. The data was collected using multiple ships between December 1987 and August 1989 by Atlantic Oceanographic Meteorological Laboratory (AOML), Miami, FL. The data containing 2,116 observations was submitted by Dr. Donald V. Hansen. The data has been processed by NODC and is currently available in C116 Bathythermograph XBT format.
