Transcriptomic pro?ling sheds light on the blue-light and red-light response of mushroom Pleurotus ostreatus

Blue light is an important environmental factor that induces mushroom mycelium di?erentiation and fruiting body development. However, the blue-response mechanisms of Pleurotus ostreatus remains unclear. In the present research, we exposed the mycelium of Pleurotus ostreatus to blue-light, red light and dark conditions. Then we conducted comparative transcriptomics analysis of stipe (labeled as bing in uploaded rawdata), pileus (labeled as gai in uploaded rawdata), and gill (labeled as zhe in uploaded rawdata) under three light conditions to reveal its gene expression response mechanism to blue-light and red-light. The results showed that blue-light enhanced the induction of all three organs of Pleurotus ostreatus, especially pileus. In contrast, red-light slightly inhibited the pileus growth.
