VPRS 16927 Record of Pathological Specimens Examined

This series contains Registers titled 'Record of Pathological Specimens Examined', probably created by the Anatomical Pathology Department.Information recorded includes date, name of patient, ward, type of specimen collected, pathologist's report and signature. The first volume in this consignment is marked 'Vol XX', suggesting that the series start date is approximately 1920; however these earlier volumes are missing. Also missing is 'vol XXV' resulting in a gap between September 1945 and August 1946. The final volume is only partly filled, suggesting a change in recordkeeping practice and possibly the end of the series.
