The Climate Opportunities of Risks of Contrail Avoidance - Input Aviation Data

This repository contains aviation data that is inputted to the Aviation Climate and Air Quality Impacts model to generate the climate outputs for the journal publication titled The Climate Opportunities and Risks of Contrail Avoidance. The aviation_scenarios.zip file contains a series of .csv files that detail profiles of fleet wide annual flown distance, annual carbon dioxide emissions from aviation over time. The .csv files also detail profiles of performance values over time which relate to the adoption of navigational contrail avoidance and modified fuel composition. These mitigation measures alter the annual contrail formation and carbon dioxide emissions from aviation, as described in The Climate Opportunities and Risks of Contrail Avoidance. The aviation_scenario_generator.xlsx file is used to generate the .csv files in aviation_scenarios.zip from raw literature data.
