Land Suitability Map for Solar Photovoltaic (PV) Installations in Ukraine at 100 m resolution
收藏资源简介:
This dataset provides a high-resolution (100 m) raster map of land suitability for the installation of solar photovoltaic (PV) power plants across the entire territory of Ukraine with values ranging from 0 (unsuitable) to 1 (highly suitable). We provide the data as a GeoTIFF raster file along with an associated .qml style file for visualization in GIS software. Coverage: Ukraine Spatial resolution: 100 meters Coordinate system: EPSG:32636 (WGS 84 / UTM zone 36N) Data format: GeoTIFF raster + QML (style file) Data range values: from 0 (unsuitable) to 1 (highly suitable) The map is based on a combination of: Climatic data (ERA5-Land, 2015-2022, 9 km): global horizontal irradiance (GHI), high temperatures, wind speed, precipitation, Topographic data (SRTM DEM, 90 m): elevation and slope, Land cover/use data (Sentinel-1/2, 2022, 10 m, classification map produced by Department of Mathematical Modelling and Data Analysis of National Technical University of Ukraine "Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute" and Space Research Institute National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine and State Space Agency of Ukraine). Suitability values were calculated using fuzzy logic standardization of all layers, weighted via the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) based on expert judgment, and combined using a Weighted Sum Model (WSM). The product was developed within the Horizon Europe-funded project U_CAN – Ukraine towards Carbon Neutrality (Grant Agreement No. 101148374).
