Soil and Water Microbiology of Urban Rain Gardens

The study compares the microbial community in influent and effluent of four rain gardens in Glasgow, Scotland over three sampling events in 2019. The rain gardens differ in their soil particle size distribution but are otherwise the same - identical plant species and distribution, shared influent. Soil samples were analysed in March 2021 to compare the microbial communities in the rain gardens themselves.
