cruise to the Peruvian upwelling region in October 2015

Sequences were obtained during a cruise with the RV Sonne to the Peruvian upwelling region from 4 to 22 October 2015. 11 stations were samples for the sea surface microlayer (SML) using a glass plate, and the underlying water (ULW) at 20 cm depth. The bacterial community composition at all stations and both depths was analyzed using 16S rRNA gene amplicon sequencing.
