资源简介:

This collection contains the raw data used in the publication "Solid-State Dewetting of Polycrystalline Thin Films: A Phase Field Approach". The abstract reads: "Solid-state dewetting (SSD) is a phenomenon where thin solid films break up and retract on asubstrate, resulting in the formation of isolated islands or nanostructures. Single-crystalline SSD isprimarily driven by surface energy reduction mediated by surface diffusion, while in polycrystallinethin films, grain boundaries introduce additional effects. Modeling and simulation have largelyfocused on single-crystalline SSD. Here, we present a multi-phase-field framework capturing keymechanisms in polycrystalline thin films with multiple grains and boundaries in 3D. By consideringisotropic interface energy and curvature-driven grain boundary motion, we show how the frameworkreproduces the key phenomenology of SSD while being consistent with prediction based on energeticarguments. Key evidence is given concerning the onset of dewetting at grain boundary triple junc-tions. Moreover, we illustrate the SSD of a polycrystalline patch. The proposed framework pavesthe way for in-depth investigations of the morphological evolution of polycrystalline thin films."
