Campylobacter jejuni subsp. jejuni S3. This is a poultry isolate that was originally isolated from the feces of a chicken, and has been shown to be non-invasive to weakly invasive in vitro. In addition, it has been found to be non-motile and originally was an effective colonizer of poultry; however after minimal passage in the laboratory it no longer colonizes poultry.
